Boom Boom, clap. Boom, Boom clap. Sound familiar?

I am willing to bet whoever you are, wherever you’re from, you’ll probably recognize the first 5 seconds of “We will, We will ROCK YOU”.

Queen, led by frontman Freddy Mercury, shared this anthem with the world so long ago, that it would continue to echo through the decades, even still today.

Now that I’ve got that song stuck in your head, let’s talk about Killer Queen.

Killer Queen is a tribute band, to Queen reimagined to reach new generations of fans.

Queen formed in 1970 in London, England, and the band quickly became one of the leading rock forces in the world. With Freddie Mercury at the helm, Queen rose to the forefront of the global rock scene thanks to smash hits like “We Are the Champions,” “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “Under Pressure,” “Stone Cold Crazy,” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Critics and fans alike can agree that Mercury’s Queen was nothing short of brilliant, and the legacy of this British rock group will live on forever. Tragically, though, Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991, and Queen fans around the world were devastated.

Two years after Mercury’s death, a group of talented rockers united in London to form a Queen tribute band, and thus Killer Queen was born. This tribute act aimed to relive the greatest Queen concert moments of the ’70s and ’80s, and they proved that they could accomplish this goal every single time they take the stage. No matter where or when you see Killer Queen in action, you are sure to be instantly mesmerized by this explosive live rock show—and you might just be so swept up in the magic that you’ll feel like you’re witnessing the real Queen back in action!

Killer Queen has toured all over the world over the past two decades, and rock fans simply cannot get enough.

This was no different in Nashville that night, we expected a good show but the experience was once in a lifetime. This evening solidified my suspicions of time travel being real, because if one were to walk into this show it was if we were stepping right back into the 80s.

The crowd, all wearing their honorary Mercury Mustache, all shared the same look of hope, and anxiousness as we awaited the reincarnation of the icon himself.

Yes, yes, yes – they are a tribune for a reason! “Freddy v2” embodied and channeled FM in the best way possible. Even down to seducing his audience from up on stage with those right eye winks and blowing kisses (my photographer caught one!), sweeping us off our feet, and serenading us to some of our favorite songs.

What was really special, was to remind us that while this is as close to the real thing, sadly it is not. But we did pay our respect, Freddy v2, pointed to the sky and on our behalf paid our respect to Mr. Mercury, as if gaining his approval, after all the show must go on.
