Well, Norway’s fierce melodic rock band named Big City will provide some much need relief from the darkness that is slowly eroding the fabric of humanity with the release of their powerful album “Sunwind Sails” was released on January 20, 2023 featuring ten tracks that will breathe new life into a dysfunctional society. Big City sounds similar to Europe with their ear-piercing vocals and scorching melodic rock melodies that will make one’s eardrums explode.
A violent storm is brewing deeply within a man’s heart in the soul bearing track “I’m Somebody.” This track features shouting vocals and shimmering melodic rock melodies that sound like raindrops are gently bouncing off of tin roof on a rainy day. This track is a maddening tale about an angry man who is trying to move a mountain while he feels like he is sinking into quicksand while dealing with a constant barrage of negativity occurring around him. So, what the angry man truly wants to do is live his life in peace and doing what he enjoys doing in life without being harassed by others. Meanwhile, the violent storm continues to rage on in the thunderous track “Diamond in the Rough.” This track features raspy vocals and blistering melodic rock melodies that sound like the earth is cracking underneath one’s feet. This track is courageous tale about a once broken man who survived heartbreak and found the ability to love again after realizing that there are plenty of honest women in the world with good intentions.
Finally, the violent storm comes to an end with a calming breeze blowing through the swaying palm trees in the peaceful track “Silver Line.” This track features soulful vocals and soothing melodic rock melodies that sound like ocean waves are gently crashing onto the beach after a major hurricane has left a tremendous amount of destruction in its wake. This track is a reflective tale about a hopeful man who is no longer haunted by his past mistakes.
