“Peso Pluma: The Corrido Tumbado Sensation That Stole My Heart in Kansas”

DONT MISS SHOWS

Sometimes, the most unexpected circumstances can lead you to discover your next favorite artist. This happened to me earlier this week, in of all places, a graduation party in Kansas. There I found myself, amidst a lively debate about a certain artist, Peso Pluma. The room was split – some lauded him as the next big thing in Mexican music, while others remained skeptical. Intrigued, I asked them to play a song. It was “Ella Baila Sola,” and the moment that thumping corrido tumbado rhythm hit, I was hooked. The singer’s unique blend of traditional corridos with a contemporary twist was unlike anything I had heard before.

So, imagine my excitement when Live Nation announced that Peso Pluma was embarking on his first-ever US tour, the DOBLE P Tour. Not only that, but one of the stops is right here in Nashville! As someone who fell in love with Pluma’s music at “first song,” I can’t wait to see him perform live, to immerse myself in the infectious energy of his songs, and perhaps even practice my fledgling corrido moves.

It’s an exciting time for Peso Pluma. He’s climbing the charts, launching his own independent record label, and embarking on a tour that spans 17 cities across the country. With his music reaching global audiences, it’s clear he’s not just a regional sensation anymore. This is Mexican music for the world. So, Nashville, put on your dancing shoes. Let’s give Peso Pluma a warm welcome and dance the night away under the star-studded Tennessee sky. The DOBLE P Tour is set to hit Nashville on June 30th at Ascend Amphitheater. Trust me; you don’t want to miss this.

Tickets for the Nashville concert, as well as all other tour dates, went on sale on Friday, March 31st at 10 AM local time. Be sure to grab yours before they sell out! Buy tickets here
