Returning with a new album and tour, The Cab made an enthusiastic midweek stop in Nashville, TN at the Brooklyn Bowl.Β The aptly named Back From The Dead Tour drew a packed room of longtime fans who never thought they would see the band return.
As you can expect in the Music City, collaborations and surprise guests are the norm; this show was no different.Β During a mid-set medley of late 90βs/early 00βs hits, vocalist Alex DeLeon jumped into a verse of βItβs Gonna Be Meβ.Β DeLeon then motioned to the stage wings as Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC stepped on stage to a roaring crowd and began singing the verse and chorus of the *NSYNC hit. Β Β

DeLeon told the crowd about a music critic who once attempted to discredit the band by calling them a “boy band with drums.” Instead, he embraced the comparison, citing his love for those acts. His *NSYNC shirt turned out to be foreshadowing for the guest appearance.
Joining the band for βTake My Handβ, a track off the debut album Whisper War, The Summer Setβs vocalist Brian Logan Dales assisted on vocal duties.Β In making the Nashville stop more memorable, the band debuted βHellraiserβ live for the first time off their newest release, Chasing Crowns. The song, which DeLeon wrote about his family, was made even more special as his wife and daughter were in attendance.

From the cover medley to the bandβs career-spanning discography, the nostalgic evening felt like a welcome trip back to the 2000s.Β Crowd sing-alongs, new songs, compelling stage presence, tight musicianship, and surprise guests gave fans their moneyβs worth.Β The Cab arenβt just back from the dead; theyβre revived and thriving.
