2021 PILGRIMAGE FESTIVAL LINEUP ANNOUNCED

Music fans who have experienced show cancellations and postponements since last spring have reason to celebrate. This morning on Billboard, the 2021 Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival line-up was announced. The festival planners have certainly taken a beating in recent years, with thunderstorms washing out the 2018 show and the pandemic forcing cancellation in 2020. This year’s two-day event is scheduled for September 25-26 at the Park at Harlinsdale in Franklin, Tennessee.

The festival, which began in 2015, offers a wide range of performers across a gamut of musical genres.

Headliners include Maren Morris, recently named Female Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music awards, where she debuted the duet “Chasing after You” with her husband Ryan Hurd. Morris has maintained her momentum since the release of GIRL, which was named Country Music Association album of the year, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard Top Country Albums chart and breaking streaming records. Her single “The Bones” was the first song by a woman to hold the number one slot on country radio for multiple weeks since 2012.

Morris also performs with Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby in the award-winning group The Highwomen.

The Pilgrimage Fest lineup offers the quality of performances fans have come to expect of the festival. Dave Matthews Band, one of the major acts unable to perform in 2018, is scheduled for the 2021 festival. Tanya Tucker, whose career was making a major comeback before the pandemic is also on the lineup, along with The Black Keys, Amos Lee, JD McPherson, Valerie June, Cage the Elephant, Dylan LeBlanc, and many more.

Tickets go on sale April 29 at 10 a.m. CST.
