The heat of summer is rising in Sheffield, United Kingdom.  The sweltering heat of summer is coming from one of the world’s most exciting metal rock bands that rose to fame in the 1980’s during the dawn of MTV released their latest CD “Diamond Star Halos” on May 27, 2022 featuring fifteen riveting tracks that will take listeners on an emotional rollercoaster ride vividly describing the rock and roll lifestyle.

The emotional rollercoaster ride begins with a man’s inhibitions running wild in the obnoxious track “Take What You Want.”  This track features screaming vocals and thunderous metal rock melodies that sound like a female lion is trying to mate with the king of the jungle without restraint.  This is a metaphor for a beautiful woman doing everything that she can to attract the attention of a handsome man.  Therefore, the handsome man is loving the attention that the beautiful woman is giving him.  Meanwhile. The emotional rollercoaster ride slows down a few miles per hour in the heart wrenching track “This Guitar.”  This track features soulful vocals and fluttering pop rock melodies that sound like a lonely man who is sitting alone on his porch while a gentle breeze is blowing through his hair.  This track is a soul bearing tale about a lonely man who has found solace in his life with his favorite instrument which has helped him stomp out his inner demons which has allowed him to be honest with himself.

Finally, the emotional rollercoaster ride comes to a grinding halt in the gloomy track “Liquid Dust.”  This track features raspy vocals and sweltering metal rock melodies that sound like a sandstorm is occurring and hot sand is swirling around while stinging a man’s face.  This track is a haunting tale about a heartbroken man who is seeing that his once loving relationship slowly turned to dust due to the couple’s unwillingness to change what was plaguing their fractured relationship.

Def Leppard is an iconic metal rock bands with an astonishing ability to fuse together elements of metal, rock, and pop music that continues to amaze after over four decades in the music industry.  “Diamond Star Halos” will remind listeners that no one is perfect, but go have fun anyway.
