Foxy Shazam has been crashing through the walls of glam rock since the early 2000s, blending arena-sized anthems, absurd humor, and wild showmanship. Fronted by the unstoppable Eric Nally, the band is known for turning every performance into a spectacle — part rock show, part circus, part chaotic art piece. Their latest chapter, the Animality Opera tour, is a punchy reminder they’re still here to mess you up (in the best way).
May 24 at Eastside Bowl was my first time seeing them live. I thought I knew what I was getting into. I didn’t. From the opening blast of “Yes Yes Yes” and “Killin’ It,” the room was electric. Eric Nally, in a silver crop top, crawling across the stage, balancing on the piano stool, clinging to the trumpet player’s leg — his energy was nonstop.
Sky White hoisted his keyboard onto the crowd and played from above. Devin Williams balanced his guitar on his face like it was nothing. Alex Nauth spun his trumpet and his body like the music was a physical force. This band doesn’t just play; they throw themselves at every note.
The setlist smashed through old favorites and fresh cuts:
-
Yes Yes Yes
-
Killin’ It
-
Holy Touch
-
Love Like This
-
Oh Lord
-
Kingdom Come
-
Only Love
-
Bittersweet Cherries

I came in shocked, sweating, not prepared, and loving every minute. The crowd was loud, the band gave everything, and the energy was unreal.
Here’s the bottom line: go see Foxy Shazam. They’re not just a band; they’re a live experience. If you think you know them from their albums, you don’t. You only know Foxy when you’re standing there, watching them tear the place apart.
