Jimmy Eat World Captivates at The Signal – May 14, 2025
Jimmy Eat World delivered an emotionally charged, career-spanning set to a packed house at The Signal in Chattanooga. From the driving opener “Futures” to the cathartic closer “The Middle,” the band reminded fans—old and new—why their music continues to strike a nerve more than two decades on.
Jim Adkins was magnetic throughout, balancing power and vulnerability, with standout moments like “23” and “A Praise Chorus” pulling the audience into a full-room singalong. Newer tracks from Dark Moon Light fit seamlessly alongside their classics, proving the band is still evolving without losing their identity.
Local indie rocker Timmy Skelly opened the night with a raw, heartfelt solo set that warmed up the crowd perfectly. His lo-fi charm and clever songwriting won over early arrivals and set a grounded tone before the headliners took over.
A night of loud guitars, full hearts, and zero pretense—this was Jimmy Eat World doing what they do best.
