THE WEEKS W/The Foxies & Motherfolk 12/3/21 @ BROOKLYN BOWL NASHVILLE

Rock. And. Roll. That’s the promised mission statement from one of Nashville’s newest clubs. Who, this past Friday night with the help of Lightning 100, and a few bands with a “No Holds Barred” approach to the sentiment, was a mission accomplished!

Located at 925 3rd Avenue N. BROOKLYN BOWL is exactly what The Witch Doctor ordered. Guests are met in the lobby with a huge Palmistry Hand Chart, followed by an ominous sign on the wall that reads: “Your Fate is in your hands.” And an actual Zoltar Fortune Teller where you can wish to hit it BIG!
Once the show began, you might have assumed the rumbling inside was from the stylish bowling lanes adding to the club’s mystique. However you’d have been mistaken. Rather It was the thunderous, high voltage hipsters; MOTHERFOLK! This outfit charged the crowd like kids with their fingers in a socket! if you can’t sink your teeth into these guys, then you don’t have teeth!

They left the stage to make way for the night’s next great band. THE FOXIES! But not before launching a guitar towards the Heavens like some offering to The Rock Gods!
What’s better then a blonde, or brunette female fronted Rock band? Whatever Damn’ color Julia Lauren Bullock wants, THAT’S WHAT!  This Trio hit the stage swinging. Their sound being reminiscent of when The Rock and Rave scenes met on ecstasy for the first time! A neon nightmare, Attitudes with amplifiers, and playfully dangerous all rolled in one.

The evening’s Headliners, THE WEEKS; led by Cain, and Cyle Barnes slid on to the seemingly Dracula inspired, blood red, curtain Draped stage with Mississippi Mud still under their boots. Their lyrical word play, and brilliant musical arrangements are sure to make this band a music professor’s wet dream. Twisted well somewhere between yesteryear and present-day sound, THE WEEKS closed the night properly. With the promise of ROCK. AND. ROLL…fulfilled.

Sidenote; These were ALL ORIGINAL ARTISTS.    I’m not sure what town these amazing bands will be in next, but I can promise you this much… they’ll be  in my playlist from now on!
