Everyone gathered Tuesday night at Marathon Music Works for Wet Leg’s “Gather No Moss” tour showcase presented by Rolling Stone. The evening was electric.
mary in the junkyard opened on a dreamy note. Their sound wove violin with a fragile yet melancholy sound into the room. They performed their song, Ghost, that was soft and haunting, like a dream you’re not ready to wake from.
The ground shifted. Hana Vu stepped up with vocals that felt carved straight from the soul. Grungy, raw, and a hint of dream pop, her set left the air charged. It was the kind of set that lingers in your chest.
And then—the storm. Wet Leg didn’t just walk onstage, they pulled Nashville into the eye of the chaos. Lights flashed like lightning, haze rolled in, and the sound hit with a thunderous force. Rhian Teasdale spun across the stage in winged sneakers and cheeky shorts while the band stayed back to silhouette. Opening their set with catch these fists from their latest album ‘moisturizer’ set the tone that we were in for a ride.
From crowd anthems like Chaise Longue, Wet Dream, and mangetout, to a blistering fast rendition of Too Late Now, Wet Leg commanded both stage and audience. The screams during Ur Mum rattled the walls and the flashes got faster.
The night ended with bubbles being released, hair being blown by giant fans on stage, and a phone call to 999 for being in love. CPR was the perfect end to this storm of a night. Wet Leg’s tour stop proved that the band isn’t just riding the hype; they’re creating it.
